Keeladi Archive

A Visual Identity for Tamil Nadu's Ancient Civilization

Visual Identity

Overview

The Keeladi Archive is a visual identity project designed to celebrate and showcase the rich history and heritage of Tamil Nadu's ancient Keeladi civilization. The logo and design elements bring the essence of Keeladi's archaeological discoveries to life, creating a cohesive and engaging visual narrative that honors the significance of this ancient culture.

Keeladi

Keeladi is a village located in the Sivagangai district of Tamil Nadu in southern India. It is the site of an archaeological excavation, believed to be part of the ancient Sangam civilization.

Excavations in this village have uncovered artifacts that reveal a highly advanced urban settlement dating back over 2,500 years. The findings from Keeladi provide valuable insight into the region's early trade, culture, and daily life, shedding light on a thriving civilization that played a significant role in South Indian history.

The Power of Perservation

Keeladi archive, which is a repository of artifacts and materials related to the excavation of the ancient site of Keeladi. The archive aims to preserve and document the rich cultural heritage ofaz the region and promote awareness and understanding of the significance of the Keeladi site.

The process of designing the Keeladi Archive logo drew inspiration from significant artifacts uncovered during the excavation. The logo design was inspired by an important artifact found during the excavation—a dice.

This artifact became a key part of the design. The process focused on blending ancient elements with a modern feel, creating a logo that honors Keeladi’s heritage while keeping the design clean and timeless.
